Introduction

Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) known in Malay language as Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM). It consists of the Malaysian Army (MA), Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) and Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) is not part of MAF but in time of war it will be put under the command of MAF. Malaysian Army do not have the 'Royal' title as the title was given to the deserving regiments and corps within the Malaysian Army.

The Malaysian Armed Forces Order of Battle

The MAF is still undergoing modernization programs that was planned back in the 70's to turn MAF into a credible conventional warfare force. The program was delayed a couple of times due to the second communist insurgency, 80's world economic crisis and 90's Asian monetary crisis. The modernization is now back on track again with the purchase of PT-91M MBT, Scorpene SSK and Su-30MKM MRCA for the army, navy and air force respectively. Forums with discussion on MAF

	This is one of the premier forums dedicated to MAF, conducted in Malay language. Sometimes you can find insider information and breaking news that would not appear in mainstream news network until days or weeks later. Membership is required to view the threads. There has been reported of difficulty in registering. It is important to note that after web registration, you'll have to send a SMS note to the mobile phone number as indicated.
Cari Forum	Another premier forum with main topic of discussion is on Malaysian military, police and security agencies. Most of the discussion is conducted in Malay language. Read access level is required for certain threads.
Cari Forum (Mandarin)	Same as above but conducted in Mandarin language.
Forum Web Tentera Darat	Malaysian Army official forum conducted in Malay language. This forum is currently not available together with the main site.
Forum TLDM	RMN official forum conducted in Malay language. Not very active.

Perajurit	Monthly defence magazine with heavy emphasize on MAF, available only in Malay language.
Tempur	Monthly defence magazine with regular articles on MAF available in Malay language but also has an English section.
